Kyalami smallholdings and estates — gravel approaches and gate clearance planned
Kyalami is two different moving jobs sharing a name. Kyalami Estates and the surrounding security estates are conventional suburban moves behind a controlled gate. The Kyalami agricultural holdings are something else entirely — large plots, long gravel driveways, farm gates and, frequently, horses.
The vehicle that suits one is often wrong for the other, so we ask which you are in before quoting rather than sending a truck and hoping.

The estates hold large modern family homes with wide internal proportions, double or triple garages and level access — physically among the easiest we move, though the volumes are high. The agricultural holdings are a different proposition: sprawling single-storey homes, often with multiple outbuildings, stables, workshops, tack rooms and equipment stores. Those outbuildings routinely hold more than the house does, and they are the most common reason a Kyalami quote is under-estimated.
On the holdings, the approach decides the vehicle. Long unsurfaced driveways become difficult for a heavy loaded truck after summer rain, farm gates are frequently narrower than a pantechnicon, and turning space at the house is not guaranteed. We check the approach in advance and send a smaller vehicle or plan a shuttle where needed. In the estates, the constraint is administrative: pre-authorisation for the vehicle and crew, low enforced speed limits and set moving hours.
Large family household moves from the estates, and full property clearances from the holdings — the latter often involving workshop equipment, garden machinery and stable contents alongside the household furniture. Specialist handling comes up more here than average: safes, gym equipment, workshop tooling and occasionally a piano. Equestrian properties also mean we work around animals, which affects where a truck can be parked and run.
Kyalami sits between Main Road, Allandale Road and the R55, north of Midrand and close to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit. The area is well served by the N1 and N3 for interprovincial work. Roads within the holdings are a mix of tar and gravel, and it is worth telling us which yours is when you book, because it genuinely changes the vehicle we send.
Our reasonable rates, careful and personalised service and track record of satisfied customers have made us the ideal choice
for many South African households and businesses needing help with any size and type of move.
Local moves are priced on the size of your home and the access at both ends, not on distance travelled within the metro:
| Move size | Typical example | Indicative price |
|---|---|---|
| Small load | A few items or a single room | from R1,500 |
| 1-bedroom | Apartment or flat | from R1,990 |
| 2-bedroom | Townhouse or small home | from R3,350 |
| 3-bedroom | A typical family home | from R4,590 |
| 4+ bedroom | Larger homes and estates | from R6,990 |

We work across Midrand and the wider northern suburbs, including Midrand, Waterfall, Sunninghill, Fourways, Crowthorne and Blue Hills. If your move starts or ends outside Kyalami we still handle it as one job — see our furniture removals page, or long-distance removals if you are leaving the province.
The cheapest quote is very often the most expensive outcome. An unusually low price generally means no Goods in Transit cover, a casual crew hired that morning, or a figure that grows once your goods are already loaded. We run our own branded fleet with trained permanent crews, we publish our prices, and we quote in writing so the figure agreed is the figure charged. The warning signs are set out in how to avoid moving scams.

Moving a few items rather than a whole home. A single fridge, a bedroom of furniture, a student move or one delicate piece. You pay for the space your goods actually occupy rather than for a whole vehicle, which is what makes it affordable.

Full household removals handled by trained, permanent crews. Packing, wrapping, dismantling and reassembly, loading and offloading, all on our own branded fleet with Goods in Transit cover on every job.

Corporate and SME relocations planned around your downtime, including IT equipment and servers with anti-static handling. We work after hours and over weekends so your business keeps running.

Interprovincial removals to every major centre in South Africa, on shared or dedicated loads. Shared loads cost materially less because you only pay for your share of the vehicle.

Full or partial packing with proper double-walled cartons, bubble wrap, blankets and anti-static materials for electronics. Everything we pack ourselves is covered.

Pianos, safes, artwork, antiques, gym equipment and oversized items that need extra hands, proper equipment and a crew that has moved them before.
We follow a structured process to ensure every move runs smoothly.

Yes, and on Kyalami holdings those routinely hold more than the house. Include them in your inventory or the quote will be short.
Yes. We submit vehicle and crew details to estate management in advance, and work within the estate’s permitted moving hours.
A four-bedroom home typically starts from around R6,990, and holdings with substantial outbuildings are quoted on volume because they frequently need a larger vehicle or a second load.
Yes. Those need the right equipment and crew size, so tell us the make, model and location in advance rather than on the day.
